Receiving payments from pre-paid balance

Mentees can buy pre-paid credit balances on our platform. This purchase option is typically used by companies for their employees, by resellers like Learnerbly, as a gift, or with payment methods incompatible with subscriptions, such as bank transfers.

For mentors, the settlement of these transactions may differ. You can determine if an invoice was settled using a pre-paid credit by checking its metadata.

Finding transactions in Stripe

In your Stripe account, settled credit transactions can appear in two places:

Transfers: If feasible, we settle transactions via transfer. These payments appear under the "Payments" tab and are listed as if another Stripe account made the payment, representing a direct transfer from our account to yours. This method often involves minimal or no fees.

Credit Card: In countries where direct transfers to Stripe accounts are not possible, we use credit card payments as a fallback. These payments are listed with "Credit transaction" as their description and appear like standard credit card transactions.
