Is it possible to mentor for free / for charity?

Yes, absolutely.

MentorCruise is a flexible platform designed to support different mentoring goals, including giving back. If you'd like to offer mentorship for free or as a charitable contribution, you're welcome to do so. Here's how:

• Set your pricing: You can reduce your subscription fees to zero. By default, a $20 minimum fee is applied that is directly given to charity.
• Offer a truly "free" mentorship: You will be prompted whether you'd like to waive the $20 fee, which causes your mentorship to be advertised as truly fee.

Keep in mind:

• Mentorship should still happen through the platform to ensure quality and safety of mentees.
• Charities are chosen by the wider community and MentorCruise team. Currently, all donations are pooled and going to Code.org.
• Offering mentorship for free can attract a wider pool of mentees, but it's still important to qualify and set boundaries to ensure meaningful outcomes.
