Call tracking is here

Many of you told us it was hard to keep track of mentorship calls, and that overbooking could lead to awkward conversations. We’ve updated the details panel to give you and your mentees a clear picture of call usage and help prevent those mix-ups.

What's changed?

On both sides

In the details panel, both you and your mentees will now see:

  1. A progress bar showing call usage for the current cycle
  2. A “Calls” section where you can:
    • Join calls when it’s time to meet
    • View details of upcoming calls
    • Open a timeline view to see past and upcoming calls alongside billing events

For mentees

In the following situations, mentees will now see an extra step before booking a call:

  1. All calls in the current cycle are already booked, or
  2. The mentorship is paused, or
  3. They're trying to book more than one call during the trial

They can choose to:

  • Buy one-off sessions to get additional support, or
  • Continue to the booking form anyway (for example, to book a call for the next cycle)

What do I need to do as a mentor?

If you’re above level 8 and expect some mentees to need support beyond their plan, we recommend creating a custom session they can book when needed.

FAQ

I schedule recurring calls directly from my calendar, so those calls aren’t tracked in MentorCruise. My progress bar looks empty. Should I be worried?

No worries at all. The progress bar is there to help you keep track of mentorship calls if you prefer letting mentees book calls ad hoc; if you schedule recurring calls, you can ignore it.

If I create a custom session for existing mentees, can anyone visiting my profile book it?

For now, yes. There isn’t a dedicated “existing mentees only” setting yet. Our current recommendation is to mention this in the session name or description (for example: For existing mentees only). We’ll keep watching feedback and continue improving this area.
