Our reviews policy

Ratings and reviews are essential to trust and quality control at MentorCruise. We take mentees' experiences seriously and do not edit or remove any reviews unless:

• The mentee contacts us with the intention to do so, or
• There is a clear violation of this policy

When can a review be added?

A mentee is eligible to leave a review for a mentor after booking a session or subscribing to a mentorship with them.

Sessions can be reviewed as soon as they are completed. Mentorships, on the other hand, can only be reviewed approximately three weeks into the subscription (which includes the 7-day trial period plus 14 days after the first payment). This is because building a mentoring relationship is a process - it takes time to align expectations, build trust, and determine mutual fit. We believe mentees will have more valuable insights to share with the community after working with the mentor for some time.

Responding to reviews

Generally, we do not intervene in disputes regarding the accuracy of reviews. If a mentor disagrees with a review, we encourage them to write a public response to share their own perspective.

When can a review be edited or removed?

Mentors may report a review to us if:

• The review contains false information that can be easily disproven. For example, it states, "The mentor refused to meet me!" when in fact, the mentor attempted to schedule a meeting but was unable to find a mutually convenient time for both parties.
• The review is based on an experience with a different party and not the mentor. For example: “MentorCruise team, please fix the bug with the chat button!”
• The review violates the mentor’s privacy rights by revealing identifying or confidential information about them.
• The review violates our code of conduct.

If you’d like to report a review to us, please specify which part of this policy you believe is being violated and provide any supporting evidence. Depending on the nature of the violation, we may edit or remove the review.

Please also note that we evaluate whether a review should be removed independently from whether the service has been refunded.
